Principal's Notes and Highlights
CSA Lincoln Students and Families,
I hope this letter finds you and your family enjoying the summer! We stayed close to home and took advantage of the many great events that Columbus has to offer. Michelle is still feeling well and Calvin says he is ready to be a big brother. We are eagerly awaiting the arrival of Audrey in late September. Calvin won a couple of fish at the fair that he has affectionately named "Po and Po". We have no idea how he came up with this.
You may have noticed that the playground has started to look more like a play-space and less like large mounds of dirt. The swing set is scheduled to arrive on August 7th. It is unlikely the playground will be completed for the first week of school. It needs to be anchored into the ground before the soft surface can be installed. The architect, contractor, Randy Surface and myself have met weekly this summer. We are disappointed in this delay, but want to make sure it is done correctly. This will be unlike any other playground. The Linden Project Committee will soon be sharing more information regarding a very cool experience that will be happening in September. Thank you for your continued support and patience!
Below are a few updates and announcements you should be aware of as we start the school year. Specifically, please review the changes to the PM dismissal procedures. These changes are being made to increase student safety.
Please sign up to receive text message updates, reminders, and alerts via Remind (link below).
Everyone will receive a new car tag this year. They will be sent home with your student packet at Open House or on the first day of school.

Arrival and Dismissal Procedures- Changes to PM procedures
Arrival (No Changes)
Please do NOT bring your child to school before 7:30 AM.
Do NOT drop off in front of the school on 5th Street or west of the school on Pearl.
Only BCSC buses are allowed to drop off in front of the school.
Come North on Pearl Street (if you come south on Lafayette you will be caught up in the Central traffic.)
Enter the playground area that runs behind the school and turn south on the east side of the building
Drop off your student and turn LEFT ONLY out of the campus (this will prevent jams at the 4-way stop).
PM Dismissal Procedures
Dismissal- NEW 2018!
Buses will use the car line for PM dismissal only. They will go through the line FIRST.
Please do NOT line up for pick-up before 2:30 PM.
Please have your number hanging from your mirror!
Do NOT pick up in front of the school on 5th Street or west of the school on Pearl.
Follow the same traffic pattern as for Arrival (again, if you come south on Lafayette to 6th Street, you will be caught in a mess with Central traffic!)
Students will wait until their numbers are called to come to your vehicle.
Students will load in the right side of the car only.
Again, you will exit to the LEFT only out of the campus.
