Principal's Message
Dear Families,
The summer has gone by so quickly! As we head into another in-person learning year, the staff and I are encouraged by the new beginnings, the possibilities, and the incredible growth that will take place in the year ahead with our students! The impact of the COVID pandemic is not yet behind us, and we can anticipate continued guidance from the Oregon Health Authority, the Oregon Department of Education, and the Hillsboro School District as we put routines in place to keep our students healthy, well, and ready to learn.
Breakfast/Lunch accounts: unlike the previous two school years, parents/guardians will have to contribute money for their child(ren)’s account. You can find meal prices and menus on the HSD website under the For Families tab. Please see the information included with this letter to apply for free and reduced meals.
Attendance Line: If your child is absent please call 503-844-1303, as soon as possible. If you do not call the attendance line before 8:50 am, you will receive an automated call that your student is absent.
Bus Route Info: HSD’s transportation department has an online link for parents/guardians to access routing and scheduling information, determine walk zones, and more. Please refer to the myBus insert in this packet for instructions on how to find your student’s bus route. If you have questions, please call the transportation department at 503-844-1123.
Volunteering at Ladd Acres: We LOVE volunteers and having families in our building makes our community better! If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please fill out the Volunteer Application on the HSD website. Go to www.hsd.k12.or.us and search for volunteer.
ParentVUE: The e-mail addresses and phone numbers in our student information system are what we use to send families important news and updates, information about your child's attendance, and safety and emergency communications. Please check your information by logging into ParentVUE.
In partnership,
Jennifer Robbins
