National Pi Day March 14, 2014
Bring in a Pie for Pi-Day This Fri-Day!
Come Celebrate National Pi Day!
As you may already know, March 14 of each year is often celebrated by number enthusiasts as “National Pi Day,” since the day can be written as 3/14, which is the commonly used decimal approximation for π (3.14).
In 2009, Congress proclaimed March 14 (3/14) as National Pi Day. In doing so, Congress recognizes the continuing importance of National Science Foundation’s math and science education programs; and encourages schools and educators to observe the day with appropriate activities that will teach students about Pi and engage them about the study of mathematics.

We need students to bring in pies to use for a morning of fun math activities for our celebration of National Pi Day. The pies may be any kind (homemade or store bought) and any flavor, but they should be circular. Thanks in advance for your help!
