Alan turing life
Alan Mathison Turing, OBE, FRS (23 June 1912 – 7 June 1954) was a British mathematician, logician, cryptanalyst, philosopher, pioneering computer scientist, mathematical biologist, and marathon and ultra distance runner. He was highly influential in the development of computer sceince, providing a formalisation of the concepts of "algorithm" and "computation" with the Turing machine, which can be considered a model of a general purpose computer. Turing is widely considered to be the father of theoretical computer science and artificial intelligence
Alan Turing: The Enigma
The Enigma is the machine Germany used to send out messages about planning attacks, but the machine mixed up the letters so England couldn't crack the codes or listen to them. There was 150,000,000,000 outcomes for each letter, making it impossible to know when the Germans would attack and causing the Germans to start winning the war. Alan Turing cracked it.
