Reminder: Schools Closed
In recognition of Presidents' Day, all East Windsor Regional School District schools will be closed on Monday, February 20. Kidcare will also be closed.
Team Mercury hosted the 15th Annual Snow Day Show Down
On Sunday, the Hightstown High School FIRST Robotics Team, Team Mercury, hosted the 15th Annual Snow Day Show Down competition. This event is the New Jersey "Upper South" Division League Tournament for the FIRST Tech Challenge league. Twenty-two teams in the division were invited to compete to try to earn a spot at the State Championship in March. The teams bring a robot that must fit into an 18" cube to the event, and compete in two-on-two matches with an against other teams in this year's game, "Power Play".
HHS's own Team Mercury 3944 competed at the event, and took home the Design Award for outstanding design, as described in their Engineering Portfolio. While the team did not advance to the State Championship, they ended their season on a high note with their performance and their award.
Next up for HHS Robotics, our large FIRST Robotics Competition team, Team Mercury 1089, is building their 120-pound robot for this year's game, "Charged Up". On March 18-19, they'll be competing at their first event at Robbinsville High School, and their second event will be April 1-2 at Montgomery Township High School.
The Hightstown High School Class of 2024 hosted their first EWRSD Ice Skating Night at Mercer County Park. They had a great turnout which included students and families from several schools in the district. It was a fun night that included ice skating, snacks from the concession stand, and giveaways! Thank you to Scotto's Pizza, Crunch Fitness, Popeyes, and IRL Game Shop for your prize donations
With the help of the Hightstown High School community, Student Council was able to send over 75 Valentine’s Day packages out to Meadow Lakes! Thank you to everyone who helped with the packaging and brought in different items for the bags!
Hightstown High School and Melvin H. Kreps Middle School Choir Collaboration
Seventy-nine choir students from MHK and HHS gathered together to foster a choral community, learn some technique through vocal warmups, and perform some great repertoire together. Both Mr. Allen and Mr. Stephens worked together to create a wonderful experience for our students. The East Windsor choir directors look forward to seeing the continued involvement of these wonderful students in the music program.
Hightstown High School Girl's Basketball were in the Mercer County final for the first time since 1988.
Congratulations to the Hightstown High School Cheerleading team on placing third in the NATION at Universal Cheerleaders Association - National High School Cheerleading Championship.
The Melvin H. Kreps Middle School Junior O Club put together a Show Some Love challenge that gave students the opportunity to send a note to a friend or staff member thanking them for their kindness.
Melvin H. Kreps Middle School Girl's Basketball team had an absolutely incredible season with 13 wins and 7 losses and a trip to the semi finals. You have all shown what it means to work hard, play together and love the game!
Melvin H. Kreps Middle School Boy's Basketball Varsity tean ended 14-6 and Junior Varsity ended 13-1! An incredible season of grit and hardwork.
Grace N. Rogers Elementary School students particpated in a gallery walk of Black History Month posters that students created of famous Black Americans.
It’s the Week of Kindness and students were able to stop by the Perry L. Drew Elementary School Library and be the “I” in KIND!
Students in the Perry L, Drew Elementary School fifth-grade Gifted and Talented program are delighted to spend time every week as Buddy Readers with third-grade students. Thank you to Ms. Shupel for an awesome way to serve their school community, make friends, and inspire younger readers!

Walter C. Black Elementary School student council members made thank you cards for a WCB staff member to end Kindness Week.
2023-2024 Kindergarten Registration
Will your child be 5 years old by October 1, 2023? Registration for students entering Kindergarten in September 2023 are being accepted NOW!

Parents/guardians that do not have access to a computer or the internet can schedule an appointment to register online in the office by calling Central Registration at 609-443-2881 ext. 6800.
If applicable, a Language test will be conducted by appointment on a later date.
This week our Hightstown High School Athletic Leaders met with RISE from downtown Hightstown to explore some volunteer opportunities in our community for this school year.
EWRSD Homework Free Holidays for 2022-23
In an effort to provide a sense of balance and to promote time spent with family, EWRSD students will not receive homework assignments or long-term projects that are due when they return to school after the breaks listed below. In addition, tests and quizzes will not be administered on the first day of school following the break.
- Spring Break: Wednesday, April 5, 2023, through Monday, April 17, 2023
