One Final Thought...

Yesterday was good for my soul. As I wandered around outside during field day, I saw smiles galore and heard laughing coming from multiple directions. I saw families back on school grounds lending a hand and others giving their time. My heart was warm all through the day, mainly because of the 100% humidity, but also as I saw a glimpse of normalcy?

With a sunburned neck, a raspy voice from cheering, and a tired body, I headed home. As I sat in my car, it hit me; we did it. We made it through the year with in-person learning. Sure there were bumps along the way, including late phone calls sharing the dreaded news of quarantining and closing a classroom, but we pressed on and forged ahead.

So, from a now gray-haired principal, thank you. Thanks for your words of encouragement for my Spencer staff. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Most importantly, thank you for your trust. We did it, and we did the unthinkable together.

With much appreciation,

Bill Renner

From the School Library

Thank you to all of our families that sent in their library books. We had a wonderful response and it is so great to have our books back and ready for our students in the fall. The School Library webpage will be OPEN all summer. Mrs. Adams' School Library page. Please take advantage of all of the resources for your students over the summer, we explored many virtual classrooms all year and the students love to working with them. Don't forget to sign-up for the Brighton District Library summer reading program. Finally, I would like to thank all of you for the well wishes for my retirement. I am going to miss all of the students (and families) but I hope to see you around town. Happy reading!! Love, Mrs. Adams 📚
