Parent Leadership Institute - Virtual
Parent Leadership Institute will be held via ZOOM
If you have always wanted to participate but life made it too hard to get away from home, NOW IS THE TIME TO ENROLL!!!
If you are a parent or family member who makes the educational decisions for a child with a disability, investing the time to attend these four Wednesday evening sessions will provide:
• Vision for the future of your child.
• Knowledge to help you to effectively participate in your child’s education.
• Leadership skills to improve the educational climate for all children.
• Access to new resources, friends and experts to help you on your journey.
The Institute will be held on Wednesdays from 6:00 pm-8:00 p.m. on February 16, March 2, 9, and 16, via zoom.

Parent Workshop: Charting the Life Course
Virtual Workshop: Meeting your child’s needs using Charting the LifeCourse Tools in the IEP process
When: Tue, March 15, 6:30pm – 8:00pm
Description: Your child’s school Individual Education Plan (IEP) can be intimidating and overwhelming at times. Find out how to utilize LifeCourse Tools to help prepare and communicate effectively with your child’s IEP team to determine the most successful goals and interventions to help your child reach their potential.

Summer School Program - offered by Mehlville School District
Summer programming information
Mehlville School District will offer its popular and free Summer Session program for all children entering kindergarten through 12th grade, June 6-July 1, 2022.
Summer Session for grades 1-8 offers enrichment activities and high-quality instruction that allows teachers to revisit and reinforce the curriculum. Kindergarten students will get a jumpstart to elementary school. High school students can recover credits or earn elective or PE credits. Free meals will be available to Summer Session students. Transportation shuttles will be available from students’ home schools.
Elementary School Summer Session is 8:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Locations include Hagemann, Forder and Buerkle (as an elementary site). Before and after care is available from the YMCA. Registration for elementary school Summer Session opens in early March.
Middle School Summer Session is 7:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. at Oakville Middle. Registration for middle school Summer Session opens in early March.
High School Summer Session is June 6-17, 2022 and June 20-July 1, 2022. Students can earn up to 2.5 credits if they attend both morning and afternoon classes during all sessions of High School Summer Session. The morning class is 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. and the afternoon class is 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Summer Session will be held at Mehlville High School. Virtual options will also be available. Registration for high school Summer Session opens in early March.
