Warren School
Regional School District No. 6
September 14, 2017
I am looking forward to seeing many of you at 5:00 at Wamogo for our 8th annual Book Blast and BBQ. This will be a wonderful way to celebrate our students' math and literacy accomplishments, and to enjoy each other's company.
I am also looking forward to seeing you and your family at Open House next Tuesday, September 19th, from 6:30-8:00 PM. You are invited to visit the classrooms to greet your child's teacher and tour the classroom. Please be sure to take time to greet representatives from the Region 6 Board of Education, the Warren Parks and Recreation, the Warren Public Library, and the Warren Boy Scout Troop.
Best wishes,
Angela Rossbach
Word of the Week: Empathy
“Empathy is the starting point for creating a community and taking action. It's the impetus for creating change." Max Carver
This week, the Senior Blended class took the lead in taking action to support victims of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. Inspired by James Morris School's Spirit Week fundraiser, Mrs Birdsall and the Senior Blended class created plans for a schoolwide Warren Empathy Week which will begin on September 18th. Please see the flyer below for more details. You can also click on this link for a larger view.
Thank you, Friends of Warren School, for a terrific back-to-school Carnival.
Everyone had a terrific time!
Safety
There are some dead limbs in the Playground Woods area that need to be removed. For student safety, children will only be allowed to play in the open playground area until this has been accomplished.
Parking Lot
New lines have been painted in the Warren School parking lot, and a handicapped accessible spot has also been included. When visiting Warren School, please park in a designated parking space if one is available.

Our School Vision
Our vision is to promote an exemplary program where every child achieves success in a child-centered environment, where learning is personalized and students become self-directed and motivated learners. All of our students learn in a high-quality multi-age environment.
To achieve this vision, we:
Support children as unique individuals and social learners
Expect and value differences among children
Inspire children to love learning
Encourage children to take risks, learn from failure and challenge themselves
Encourage children to be innovators and leaders
Empower all children to become voracious readers, powerful writers, and clear communicators
Provide authentic learning opportunities for children to explore and use mathematics
Provide children with choices to follow their interests and passions through inquiry learning across content areas
Provide opportunities for children to think creatively, invent, and explore the world around them
Create an environment where learning is cultivated through social interactions with children of different ages and abilities
