Counselor's Corner with Mrs. Hendrix
The Lunch Bunch groups are finishing up this month. These are small groups that meet with Mrs. Hendrix to practice common social skills such as calm down techniques, relationships with friends, and self-control. In May it is time for a special guidance lesson with the 5th graders about transitioning to middle school. We will even practice opening locks! The other grades will finish up with personal safety guidance lessons.
The end of school can be a challenging time for students as they anticipate a change to their daily schedule. For some this can cause anxiety. Listen to your child’s worries, and encourage them that you and their teachers will be there for them to make it through any changes. hendrixc@friscoisd.org
