NWEA Learning Pathways: lessons in Study Island are linked to your child's MAP score; if all students in homeroom complete at least 15 questions in each section (and pass with a blue ribbon!) the class will get a pizza party.
Milestone Study Book Answer Key: If you would like to come look at the answer keys, they will be available the week after Spring Break; please email Ms. Swiggum at eswiggum@fsaelementary.org
Reading
Accelerated: Students have begun working on a reading assignment for Bud, Not Buddy to be completed over the break. Students will read chapters 10 and 11, then respond to questions. When students return from Spring Break, we will be working intensively on Georgia Milestones. Projects are due Friday, April 3. Late projects should be submitted as soon as possible, via email. Reading Quiz will be on April 15.
No reading logs will be assigned during the month of April, due to Georgia Milestones.
ELA
All classes:
On the Monday we return from Spring Break students will review for the postponed Verb Test. This test is now scheduled for Tuesday 4/14. Afterwards, all preparations will be for the ELA Milestones Test. Ours is the first section of the test to be completed beginning 4/16.
Reminders:
*Students are encouraged to study their Verb Study Guide over the break. The answer key will be available on the portal.

Math
Have a safe and happy Spring Break!
Science
Our students have finally completed their 4th grade science requirements. We have now begun to review for the upcoming Milestones assessment. The Class Resources app holds various packets that can be done for practice. The answer key is on the last page of every packet so that the students can go back and check their work. Please note that this work is not supposed to be handed in to me, as it will not be graded!
During Spring Break, check the portal again for an amazing resource that I have created over the last four years. It's a Power Point presentation that has slides on every topic we've covered. It's a very large file, so please don't think you have to print it. I will also add a PDF for those who cannot access PPT files.
Best wishes for a safe and happy Spring Break!
Social Studies
*I add a 4 point curve to The Expansion of a New Nation: The Westward Expansion test. So if your child received an 80%, the HAC will say 84%.
*All grades are UPDATED as of today, 4/03
