DeSoto ISD Extends School Day to Support Deeper Learning | Parent and Student Guides to Virtual Learning This year, we are introducing a parent component to the Anytime, Anywhere Learning model. Please see the infographic in this newsletter to access and navigate through the learning management system, Schoology. | Technology Distribution UpdateThis week, DeSoto ISD schools distributed devices to students and families who completed the Anytime, Anywhere Learning Survey before Tuesday, August 25th.
If you completed the AAL survey requesting a device AFTER August 25th, your device may not be ready at this time. We are continuing to process the requests and prepare devices for students.
You will receive an email from the Technology Department with a brief form to fill out when your device is ready for distribution.
If you have questions about whether or not your student has a device ready for pick-up, you can contact Joshua.Newton@DeSotoISD.org.
If you need to request a device, you may use the school survey link below to submit your technology request.

Hispanic Heritage Month DeSoto ISD celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month celebrating the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America. | School Safety Meter Based on local health guidance and our monitoring of school district re-openings in other areas, DeSoto ISD has modified the district’s September 8, 2020, Reopening Plan as follows: On September 8, all DeSoto ISD students will begin the first four weeks of school via home-supervised learning through the Anytime, Anywhere Learning platform through October 2, 2020.
