Welcome back! It was so cool to see BCE represented in the Grapevine Parade of Lights last night! A huge shoutout to our PTA, Dude's Club, Mr. Fisher, and all the other volunteers that worked so hard to get our float ready! Great job Cub family!
LUNCH VISITOR SIGN UP!
Lunch Visitors:
- SignUp Genius for DECEMBER.
- We have a limited number of visitor tables set up for each lunch period.
- You must bring a valid ID when you come to check in for lunch visits.
- Visitors must sit at a designated table with their child.
- Students are not allowed to bring classmates/friends to the visitor table.
- At the conclusion of lunch, visitors should turn in their badge to the front office before exiting through the main entrance.
- Thank you for your support!

Happy December, Parents!
Our character trait for the month of December is Cooperation! Here is a copy of the monthly newsletter on Cooperation.
BCE Kindness Ambassadors and Student Council are hosting a New Toy Drive to benefit GRACE Christmas Cottage beginning December 5th-16th. Please bring your new, unwrapped toys and place them in the boxes in front of the office.
Please plan on joining us this Saturday morning, 12/3 for the GCISD Wellness Expo being held at GHS in the MAC. There will be shopping, a fun run, Santa, and lots of things for the family to do!

The Bookmark: Librarian's News
The Literati Book Fair will be December 12-16!
Students will have a preview day with their class on Friday, December 9. Book fair catalogs have been sent home so students can make a budget plan with you.
Students will have a designated shopping day with their class during the open fair window. If you would like to shop with your student, the fair is open for parents after school every day until 3:30. Shop Late, Thursday, December 15 after school from 3:00-5:00pm

When you visit the Passport to Adventure online book fair, you widen your world with books! Come explore books in person, or shop online at efairs.literati.com. Books purchased from the online fair be delivered to school.

Want to help?
Volunteers are wanted to greet visitors, run the register, remind customers about Literati Kids book clubs, help students and visitors find books, restock products and displays. Sign up to help after school

STAAR New Item Types
The State of Texas Assessment of Academic Readiness (STAAR) has undergone a redesign starting with the 2022 - 2023 school year. Students will experience new item response types, as well as, additional opportunities for free response and writing.
Families and students can preview and practice with the new item types by visiting the Texas Education Agency (TEA) resource at this link.
You do not need a login or password to access the site. Leave both options set to Guest and click the green login button at the bottom of the page. After selecting a STAAR-tested grade level, you will have a variety of options including information about the new item types and practice tests.
BCE PTA presents The Holiday Shop! December 12th-16th
BCE DUDES CLUB
As our new Dad’s club gets up and running, you may notice adults hanging out at lunch and recess on Fridays. They will be wearing the shirt in the picture below.
Additionally, we will be starting High Five Fridays on the last Friday of each month. Dad’s will be at the front of the building helping welcome students into the building with high fives and fist bumps.
