King cobra
The king cobra is the worlds largest venomous snake with a length of around 18 feet. The king cobra preys chiefly on other snakes. They live in forests of india and southeast asia. The name of this snake is slightly misleading, even tho it's named cobra, it isnt a member of the naja, or true cobra. It belongs to it's own genus. King Cobra mothers will on average lay 20 to 40 eggs. It will scrape up leaves and other debris into a mound and spends the next few months guarding the nest. When the eggs start to hatch the mother will go and find prey to eat so that it doesn't eat it's young.
