PTO Principal's Update

What Has Been Going On Since Our Last Meeting?
•Dad's Donut Day was terrific and very well attended! Thank you for organizing such a great event!!
•The staff loved all the wonderful snacks which were brought in for "Thankful For Our Staff" day!!! Recipes need to accompany the yummy foods!!! The food for Parent Teacher Conferences was outstanding and enjoyed by all!!! Thank you!!
•The new PTO shed was delivered and the old one was taken away!!!! Thank you for all the work and organization to ensure that the PTO materials will stay dry and reusable for years to come!!!
•The "Fill The Container" campaign was a huge success! This was held in conjunction with our business partner- River Region Credit Union! We helped raise over $500 for the Toys For Tots project!!!
•Cedar Hill students held a very successful Food Drive/Spirit Week in December! All food donated will help feed needy families in our community!!!
•Students in grades 3, 4, and 5 took the new MO Classroom Diagnostic Test in ELA and Math. This online assessment gauged where students are currently functioning in relationship to the state instructional standards.
•The Major Saver Campaign kicked off in December! We had 30 students qualify for the limo ride/all-you-can-eat pizza luncheon at Pizza Hut by selling 10 Major Saver cards!!!
•On December 18th, Mrs. Lloyd hosted fifth graders in a showing of The Nutcracker, the school holiday sing-a-long took place and this was followed by classroom parties! Thank you to all the room parents who helped with the parties! So much fun!!!
•We started off the year with a review of our Positive Behavior Support program by hosting Pirate Camp on Jan. 7-8!!! What fun! Students and staff were invited to dress up and talk like a pirate for the day! Students won treasure for making good behavior choices throughout the activities!
•PTO Trivia Night was fantastic!!!! Thank you to all the parents who organized this evening! It was so much fun!!!
•The second Golden Pencil celebration took place with 18 students being recognized for their outstanding writing during second/beginning of third quarter.
•Thank you PTO for the gift bags and items for the Above and Beyond Bags.
•Summer School flyers went home at Parent Teacher Conferences.
•Third quarter midterm was February 4th.

Update for Playground Equipment Cost
We have approval to use mulch under the playground structure.
Without mulch cost, the equipment and installation is $13,257.00.
