PLEASE DO THE FOLLOWING:
We are working to ensure that your gradebook and textbooks are all set up correctly. Because of some changes that are needed, we appreciate your assistance. Please see below:
- Please print all gradebook entries and then delete all assignments. This is the only way Kim Domke is able to make the needed changes.
- Reading and Language Arts will be combined to one section to align with the district grading guidelines and as we prepare for the new TEKS next year.
- Because our district grading guidelines refer to grades as Minor and Major in most grade levels, in 2nd through 4th grade we are going to ask that you only use the Minor category, which has been set up with 100% weight.
- MIT and Tech will assist 5th grade teachers in creating the 50/50 for Minor and Major grades when they come to assist you in setting up their gradebook next week.
- STEMScopes: In getting this set up to use in HelloID, we need to reset this textbook across the district. When it is reset, all things you created in STEMScopes will be deleted automatically. If there is anything you created in there that you want to keep, please download as a PDF. After it is reset, you will have to type these things back into it. Please remember that all Science TEKS have been streamlined as well.
We need all of this completed by end of the day Monday: Copy grades and download anything out of STEMScopes.

HELLO ID!
To access materials for the classes listed below, please access your HelloID portal at:
Access site: misd.helloid.com and click AD-midlothian-isd.net
Username: same used for PowerSchool
Password: password that you use for Gmail

*For the student codes required, students will enter codes with their school email and create password, then use those same credentials in the portal with the launch. After using once, it should retain the credentials.
*If your class is not listed and has codes, please email Kim Domke to have an app added to the portal.
Once logged into the portal, the applications to which you have access will be listed with the identifying course name below:
To access materials, simply click on the icon of your textbook.
Note:
-Due to the configuration changes this year, no rostering should be necessary for teachers to allow students to access.
-Some icons will lead to the same landing page if the same publisher but will have access to both items-Students will access materials the same way as teachers with icons in their own Hello ID portal
What should you do if you experience any issues with accessing materials?
First, please insure the extension for Tools4Ever is installed on your browser. It looks like gears over a blue background ().
If this is installed and access is not working, open a zendesk ticket (from Gmail, access Help Desk on google apps tab).
Since this is a new system with all new configurations over the past year, we expect a few issues as we implement. Please be patient as we work to resolve any issues missed during testing.
How will students access their materials?
Exactly the same as teachers!
They'll use the HelloID portal too with the following credentials:
Username: Student ID number
Password: Gmail password
What should you do if your students experience issues with accessing materials?
If your entire class is unable to access materials, please open a zendesk ticket.
If a single student is experiencing issues, please check the following:
-Is the student signed into their own account (upper right corner should show their name)?
-Does the browser being used have the Tools 4 ever extension installed?
What actions must teachers and students take now that the logins are all automatic?
PROTECT your data! Users must be very cautious with the new access available as an unlocked computer will allow access to all of the applications in the portal. If you will not be at your laptop, please lock your computer to prevent unauthorized access. Consider the laptop to be your suitcase at the airport. Please do not leave it unattended!
We hope this new simplified portal will make accessing and utilizing your materials much better! We also plan to add more apps to the portal as we're able to configure them.
At this time, we are waiting on Clever to process files tonight but *think* that the Big Ideas is not syncing with Clever. As such, we will have the following *hopefully* working tomorrow morning after another sync.
Big Ideas Math: 8th Algebra, Algebra II PAP, and Geometry PAP
Have a great school year!
