Happy Bocce Week, Alamo Families! We are looking forward to our largest in-person Ed Fund event on Saturday! We realize some families are unable to attend due to other commitments, however, you can still contribute to our fundraising efforts. Pledge an amount towards our Fund-a-Need for technology equipment updates or science lab materials here and contribute towards a teacher ticket here. For those of you who will attend, we are so excited to see your smiling faces on Saturday! If you would like to purchase a ONE-WAY ticket back from Blackhawk, those are available here.
We are still in need of a few volunteers to help with set-up and various tasks. Take a look at this signup genius and sign up where you can. Any and all help is appreciated. Huge kudos go out to Echo Hamilton and her team: Brooke Gardner, Kristine Worthley, Kelly Bowes, Joann Yang, and Nina Voss for their time and efforts planning this fundraiser!
Dine and Donate-MYO Frozen Yogurt: The final restaurant giveback of the year will be held at MYO Frozen Yogurt in Alamo this Thursday, May 19th. Treat your student(s) before or after Open House with a frozen yogurt to celebrate this school year. Be sure to show the flyer or just mention Alamo School to the cashier so 20% of your purchase will benefit the Ed Fund. MYO is located in Alamo next to ACE Hardware and is open daily from noon-9 pm. Thank you to Sara Welch for coordinating our restaurant giveback events this year! SEE FLYER BELOW

California Healthy Kids Survey Results - Administered to last year's 5th grade students.
The California Healthy Kids Survey (CHKS) is an anonymous, confidential survey of school climate and safety, student wellness, and youth resiliency. It is administered to students at grades five, seven, nine, and eleven. It enables schools and communities to collect and analyze data regarding local youth health risks and behaviors, school connectedness, school climate, protective factors, and school violence. The CHKS is part of a comprehensive data-driven decision-making process on improving school climate and student learning environment for overall school improvements. Results are published the following year school year.
Please view Ms. Campbell's presentation of the results. Ms. Campbell is our MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) Liaison. She leads the work with teachers in data analysis of student assessments in academics and social-emotional learning to guide our teaching and interventions.

SRVUSD Access to Excellence
San Ramon Valley Unified School District is excited to announce the launch of its new “Access to Excellence” Community Engagement initiative.
The initiative is focused on reconnecting our schools with the San Ramon Valley community after two challenging years in education. The purpose of the initiative is to re-engage with the community and reconnect with the sense of pride we all have in our schools. Our tagline for this initiative is “Success Reimagined,” which to us, means that both now and in the future, our students will:
- achieve in academics and gain social and emotional health;
- engage in opportunities to think, create, and solve real-life problems, and understand who they are and the importance of giving back
- be curious, confident and independent;
- appreciate being part of a community and understand the importance of relationships, empathy and compassion;
- set and achieve goals, possess a sense of purpose and service, and love the process of learning, becoming leaders who positively influence the world around them; and
- have access to the best education and brightest future possible.
Access to Excellence is about celebrating what our schools mean to our community, as well as providing opportunities for members of our community to support and partner with us.
The initiative includes visuals that will be seen on street banners, school banners, posters, social media posts, as well as a promotional video. The image above is an example of what our community will see around the San Ramon Valley as a reminder of what we are about, how the entire community benefits from great schools, and that “success reimagined” happens when communities are actively engaged.
