St. Joseph Return to School Update
January 3, 2021
Hello St. Joseph Elementary School Families!
We hope you and your families had a relaxing Christmas holiday.
We wanted to provide some important information about the Return to School in January.
We received notice from the Ministry of Education on December 30th that all Ontario schools will be closed to students on January 3 and 4, 2022. There will be no in-person or remote learning on these days. Both in-person and remote learning for students will resume on Wednesday, January 5th, 2022.
Please review the attached information carefully. Thank you for your attention to these important updates. Additional information will be provided in the coming days as it becomes available. We thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate these challenges.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the main office.
Daily Screening Verification
All students will be required to confirm daily COVID-19 screening each day. St. Joseph students must bring the COVID-19 Daily Self-Screening Verification Form signed daily. The COVID-19 School and Child Care Screening Tool has been updated. Please use this revised version.
If fully vaccinated students experience any symptoms associated with COVID-19, they must not come to school and must isolate for 5 days. At the end of 5 days, if their symptoms improve for at least 24 hrs, they may return to school. Siblings and household members must isolate as well for 5 days.
Option to Temporarily Switch to Remote Learning
If you would like to switch modes of learning from in-person to remote only learning at this time and/or require a device for your child to access remote learning, please complete this short survey. Change of Learning Mode Survey. Please communicate to your child's teacher by Tuesday, January 4th. This will help us to prepare materials and distribute devices as required. *Please be aware that we have limited access to devices and may not be able to accommodate all requests.
Rapid Antigen Testing
