With the beautiful weather on Saturday, we saw some beautiful times. And for the fresh-soph, that meant bringing home a fourth place trophy. Not too bad. For athletes that may be reading this: to demonstrate how important it is to pass competitors, it useful to know how close we are to other schools. We beat out Brother Rice by just 5 points. That's a couple runners here or there. Wyatt, Matt, and Nick finished in 25th, 30th, and 47th places respectively. Judah ran a solid race too, finishing 12th, and the red blur you may have seen finishing 4th was Jazz, who had a season best race to finish at 17:33, close to a minute and a half faster than his last race. Isaiah, Justin, EJ, all shaved big times off their previous efforts. I was super pleased to see so many of our athletes do well.

On the Varsity side of things, we also saw great improvements. Byron, Brad, and Stewart all shaved serious time off their Personal records (PR's). Stewart finished with a pleasing 16:54. He has big plans for the end of the season. Joe, Elijah Leake, and Andrew all had solid races too.

In the open race, Shamarr finished in 33:20. Shamarr is new to running and has set some goals for himself this year to finish a three mile race with a good time. I'd say the hard work is starting to show, and he's well on his way. I was very pleased with his accomplishment Saturday.

One trophy isn't enough.

These guys look fast. I'm glad I don't have to race against them!
