  • First graders "met" Mo Willems, author of the series Piggie and Elephant
  • Kindergartners work in the computer lab to create mittens and number sentences based on Jan Brett's story, The Mitten.
  • Mt. Peak students "Read In" the New Year for 2014 seconds.
  • Mt. Peak students begin "Read to Succeed" program for 2014.
  • First graders meet "Interrupting Chicken" and learned about speech bubbles.
  • 2nd grade students are introduced to dictionary skills using print resources
  • Computer club for 4th and 5th grade students
  • Library hosted MISD School Board member, Matt Sanders
  • Award winning poets shared on Mt. Peak TV
  • 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students voted for the Texas Bluebonnet Award
  • 5th grade students learned about the genre of Fantasy
