- First graders "met" Mo Willems, author of the series Piggie and Elephant
- Kindergartners work in the computer lab to create mittens and number sentences based on Jan Brett's story, The Mitten.
- Mt. Peak students "Read In" the New Year for 2014 seconds.
- Mt. Peak students begin "Read to Succeed" program for 2014.
- First graders meet "Interrupting Chicken" and learned about speech bubbles.
- 2nd grade students are introduced to dictionary skills using print resources
- Computer club for 4th and 5th grade students
- Library hosted MISD School Board member, Matt Sanders
- Award winning poets shared on Mt. Peak TV
- 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students voted for the Texas Bluebonnet Award
- 5th grade students learned about the genre of Fantasy
- PreK created their own jungle on the computers
- Kindergarten readers enjoyed Grumpy Bird and Z is for Moose focusing on friendship
