Crispin is wanted and slayed!
By Maggie
Crispin was accused of stealing money from the manor.
On page 28-29 of Crispin: The Cross of Lead, It has Mathew and Luke, people searching for Crispin talking about how John Acliffe, the steward, stated that Crispin, an innocent boy who has been shunned by society, has broken into the manor and stole Acliffe's money. Crispin knows that this is not true but cannot deny the fact that Acliffe has told everyone. No one disagrees with the steward. Crispin has to hide to get away from the people who want to kill him, for he is a wolfs head. Oh! I am terribly sorry. Did I not mention before that Crispin was declared a wolfs head by John Acliffe? Yes, he was. That means that anyone can kill him, for he is no longer counted for as a human, but an animal. That means that anyone can slay him without a consequence. It is just like hunting a deer during deer hunting season, except you are not hunting a deer. You are hunting a human of course. John Acliffe is rewarding 25 shillings! Acliffe must really want Crispin dead!
Crispin
This may be what Crispin looks like. I have drawn this picture under the description of people who have seen him around.
Boundary crosses
No one is ever allowed to go past the boundary crosses without stewards permission. Remember, the same rules apply when looking for Crispin. You may only go beyond the boundary crosses once you g=have gained permission from the steward.
reward
Whom ever finds Crispin and kills him successfully will be rewarded 25 shillings. Remember, you are allowed to kill him whenever you may please, for Crispin is a wolfs head.
I found Crispin! What shall I now do?
If you have found Crispin, then you shall immediately return him (preferably dead) to our town steward, John Acliffe. Remember, you are not to go past the boundary crosses without permission from the steward. If we find that you have gone past them without permission, there will be immediate punishment.
Reward
The reward for finding Crispin consists of 25 shillings! Yes, you heard me correctly. 25 shillings! If you find Crispin, without breaking any rules, that is.
Who will find him...
Crispin is a young boy. He is in old clothes, for he worked the fields. He has brown hair. Keep these things in mind while you look for him. Hurry before someone else finds him, for they will be the ones receiving the reward. Not you. Stop reading and go look for Crispin and kill him! You could be the one earning all those shillings!
