Prescott College wants to hear your story!
You know Prescott College is unique. You know how hard you’ve worked to get here. We want to tell prospective students your stories, to show them what PC is all about! We are doing student profiles and we need you to nominate people you think might have a good story to tell. If you have a friend you’d like to suggest, or even nominate yourself, contact Greg Browning at greg.browning@prescott.edu. Our team will do the hard stuff, all we need from you is to tell us something about yourself and your experience here. These profiles will be shared across social media worldwide, in hopes that a prospective student will read your story and recognize a little of themselves in you, and maybe they’ll want to learn more about what makes PC a great educational opportunity. Every student has a unique story – tell us yours!
Announcing a new Sustainability Grant Opportunity
Funded by the sustainability fee, this year’s competition seeks proposals that will demonstrably enhance our college’s sustainability.
More specifically, we seek proposals that innovate ways to
- enhance our resource-use efficiencies,
- reduce our environmental footprint,
- improve our operations and functionality,
- reduce waste,
- expand our educational offerings related to sustainability (broadly considered to include both the environment AND social justice),
- expand our good relations with the town,
- improve the student/educational/work/campus experience,
- promote healthful, compassionate living/working,
- ... and any other themes you can dream up clearly related to environmental sustainability and social justice.
Selection criteria include:
- Creativity of proposal
- Quality of proposal presentation
- Viability of proposal (likelihood of success)
- Positive impact of proposed actions relative to amount requested
Help with Senior Project
Do you have drawings, stories, poems, photographs, or anything else inspired by the landscapes of the Southwest? Would like to possibly get something published in a booklet raising money for Environmental Education in Arizona Schools. If so, please contact and/or send work to Evan Allred at eallred@prescott.edu
The deadline is October 7th.
