Baby hamsters grow rapidly. Between 11 and 14 days old hamsters become mobile. Baby hamsters will start eating solid food about 16 days after birth. There are more than 24 species of hamsters. A dwarf hamsters body can grow from 2 to 5 inches. Hamsters have very poor eyesight. Hamsters relay on their sent to find there way around. Hamsters have sent glands on their bodies. Hamsters are often used in laboratory experiments. Hamsters require little care. Hamsters will bite when startled or scared. Syrian hamsters are territorial creatures that need there own spaces. Hamsters may bite or even kill each other if they have to share a space.
