A Note of Thanks...

Our Fall Family Night brought almost 400 of our East Elementary parents together to learn more about our culture and our high expectations at East, to shop at our Fall Bookfair, to learn more about volunteer opportunities at East, and to enjoy a Family Tailgate with Nachos. It was such an honor to have so many of you join us and we hope that you left feeling like your are even more prepared to partner with your child's teacher and administration to ensure your child's success. If you weren't able to join us, you were missed. Please contact your child's teacher to receive copies of the presentation and handouts we distributed on this night.

Monthly newsletters will continue to come your way along with emails and Skylert phone calls to keep you informed about our happenings at East this year. Please be sure to check your child's folder each evening for updates about their behavior and graded papers/notes to help you stay informed.

We are so grateful that you have chosen Hallsville ISD for your child's education and we look forward to continuing to get to know your families better and to get to be an instrumental part of your child's growth and education.

Western Days 2016-2017

Western Days brought a lot of fun for our East Elementary staff and families! We enjoyed a puppeteer and storyteller that kicked off our festivities for the week. On Friday, students and families enjoyed stations that included butter making, hayrides, singing camp fire songs, and many other activities. As always, our specials crew did an amazing job designing this day. Thank you to our staff that did such a wonderful job putting this all together! And thank you to our families for making this day such a memorable one for our students.

We also brought our pig hay bale competition to an end on Friday. Classes that earned the most in each grade level will be announced on Monday, October 3rd when those teachers will be puckering up to kiss a pig. We cannot thank our families enough for the generous donations that were sent our way. We were able to send over $800 to help fund our community park project!
