Yes I Can Virtual Assembly

On Friday, January 29 at 2:00 PM Woodland students will be presented with the virtual assembly Yes I Can!

"Yes I Can!" is a fun-filled, interactive character education assembly that is 45 minutes long.

This character education assembly is filled with magic, interactive fun, music, colorful backdrops, sound effects, age-appropriate humor, and much more! Most importantly, the magic and fun in the program is specifically designed to enhance and illustrate the concepts, messages, and lessons throughout the program.

Some of these special features include:

  • Optical illusions
  • Eye-popping virtual magic
  • Educational and inspiring prerecorded videos
  • "Challenges" for your students to do after the assembly is over

Here are the key learning points in the program:

  • The Six Pillars of Character (Respect, Fairness, Responsibility, Caring, Citizenship, Trustworthiness) are discussed

  • It’s OK to make mistakes as long as you learn from them and keep trying!

  • How to be a S.T.A.R. with the power of RESPECT!

  • Diversity – how we are all different and why it’s a GOOD thing!

  • How to be a “Bucket Filler” with random acts of kindness!

Tips for Families to Provide Social-Emotional Support and Learning Opportunities at Home

In the times of Covid-19, stressors, anxieties, and challenges have increased for our students, families, and educators alike. It is so important for all of us to take care of ourselves emotionally and to support our children and students in this way as well. The Woodland Counselors would like to share this excellent resource with our families. It contains ten tips and ideas for supporting your children and providing continued opportunities for social emotional learning at home.

Valentine's Day 2021

Due to health and safety concerns related to COVID, we will need to refrain from exchanging valentines. We are brainstorming to come up with alternative activities that students may engage in on this day.
