Introduction
Who is Henry Ford
Americas great inventor Henry Ford was born on July 30,1863 in Greenfield Township, Michigan. At the age of 13, Henry Ford's curiosity with mechanics drove him to take apart and reassemble a pocket watch his father gave him. A few years later Henry became an apprentice as a machinist in Detroit. He learned how to operate steam engines and became skilled at bookkeeping. Later he married Clara Jane Bryant. They had a son named Edsel.
In 1891, Henry was hired as an engineer at Edison Illuminating Company because of his experience. His first plan was to invent a horseless carriage which was called the Ford Quadricycle. He found himself making automobile plans. This led him to invent the Ford Motor Company. Henry established this company on October 1,1908. He introduced the Model T for $850. Henry Ford was considered to be a great inventor of the Industrial Revolution because he made a way for people to travel anywhere.
His invention is better today because it makes traveling easier. If you traveled by horses, the horses would end up dying and get sick. It made life harder then but now it's much easier. However, the price of a car in the 1900's versus now is a huge difference. I'm thankful that Henry ford invented a vehicle that make our way of living easier.
