Principal Message
I am excited that this week is National Teacher Appreciation Week! Each and every teacher in this building is engaged in the most important work of our time ~ educating, guiding, encouraging, challenging our YOUNG PEOPLE. We have a tremendous team of educators in this building that are unrelenting in their commitment to the success of our scholars ~ day in day out.
Please, parents take a moment this week to thank your child's teacher(s). Our teachers work incredibly hard and have big hearts for your child and their success.
Thank you in advance for sharing your thankful thoughts to our teachers! Much deserved.

Instructional Highlight- Math 8th Grade
Mrs. Hawkins writes:
I would like to take this opportunity to SHOUT OUT our amazing 8th grade team!!! Through their collective efforts to divide and conquer, they managed to achieve 85% passing, with 15% at Mastery. This New Team, has become the Dream Team. They are reflective and bold in their decisions. They plan their attack, then attack their plan.
So, please help me give a HUGE shout out to Ms. McDonald, Mr. Jones, Mr. Tillman, and Mr. Reilly!!!
Job Well Done
I can’t say enough about Ms. Klein. She is truly passionate about her content and her student’s success. She has spent countless hours preparing highly engaging and rigorous lessons to ensure her students were prepared and ready.
All those hours or prepping paid off. Ms. Klein’s 7th grade Pre-AP students achieved 100% passing for STAAR!!!
Way to Go!!!
Thank you, Ms. Klein, for all that you do and bring to ARSA!!!
Spotlight on Ms. Cardenas
Ms. Cardenas continues to move million miles a hour, never missing a beat from all the different responsibilities and functions she supports at our campus. She always adds excellence to whenever our parents, visitors, or scholars are attending an event and makes sure that they are taken care of and feel special! Thank you for all you do for us! I truly appreciate you.
Spotlight on Mrs. Crabtree
I want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to Mrs. Crabtree for holding Academic Lunch Detentions for 6th Grade! The scholars do not like to loose their time with friends, be silent, and work on academics. The detentions are making a difference and I truly appreciate your help. You took this 100%!! Kudos to you ~ Truly modeling being Legendary!!
Ms. Walker, Ms. Luckey, and Mr. Briones
The three of these Rangers do phenomenal work and once again this year it was continued and our parents left the meetings having their questions answered and in a much better place to help their child. Your commitment and diligence does not go unnoticed.
Also, Thank you to Mrs. Coley and Mrs. Morrison for helping communicate to scholars next steps after receiving their STAAR scores. Teamwork!!!
Spotlight on Ms. Esteban and Mrs. Zapata
I truly appreciate the team approach that is always taken by these two Rangers. We all have to take on tasks that may go beyond the scope of what we do normally and these two Rangers are so committed to the scholars getting what they need when they need it; this does not go unnoticed.
I thank you for both for always supporting in whatever way you can and with a positive attitude!!!
Spotlight on Ms. Garcia
Thank you so very much for how you approach each day in planning for how we will attack our absences. Ms. Garcia knows our subs, knows teachers that may want to help, schedules, everything we need to successfully make sure that we deal with staff absences the best we can. Thank you for your commitment to excellence and always with a positive outlook.
Thank you for National Principal Day!
Much appreciation to Mrs. Zapata, Ms. Cardenas, Mrs. Ortega, Mrs. Tovar, Mrs. Esteban, Mrs. Hasty, Mrs. Parada, and Ms. Garcia for my beautiful flowers and my yummy lunch!
8th grade team much thank you so much for taking the time to have our scholars write a note for me and I love . The notes were really really really sweet! The thoughtfulness is so appreciated.
