What are they?
Crisis Nurseries provide short-term, 24-hour nonmedical care and supervision for children
under six years old who are placed for temporary care by a parent
due to a family crisis or a stressful situation, for no more than 30 days. Or who are temporarily placed by a county child services agency for no more
than 14 days.
1 in 5 children face poverty.
Asking for help is a sign of strength.
Specific Types/ Needs For Them
Children in these centers may be here for a variety of reasons. Like, going through abuse, unsafe situations, a parent or sibling's illness or death, or the parent is not able to provide food or shelter.
