Every scholar, every day! March 2023
A Message from Leslie Thomas
Hello Diamondbacks!
We just completed our interim reading, math and science assessments for grades 3-5. Your child's teacher should have shared the results with you. We always are looking for growth of our scholars and encourage them to set goals to reach that growth. If you did not receive that information, please contact your child's teacher. We will also be having Parent/Teacher conferences on March 28th. Please look out for more information coming soon.
Thank you, parents for helping to support our fundraising drive for the American Heart Association. Our scholars raised over $8,000.00!! Wow that is incredible. We also raised over $1,000.00 to assist, Ms. Mari, in the refurbishing of a school in Venezuela. We appreciate your generosity and helping to teach the valuable lesson of being global citizens. Our scholars are true coffee beans...changing the world from the inside out:) I am so proud to be principal of Cactus Trails and be a part of this community.
We will have spring intersession March 6th-9th from 8 am -12 pm. ALL Cactus Trails 3rd-5th graders are invited. If you have not received a permission slip, please contact the school. We hope to see you here for engaging learning activities!
Please make sure to check our campus web page frequently at sisd.net/cactustrailses as important information is posted there. You can also follow me on Twitter to keep updated and informed about school openings and schedules. Thank you for trusting us with your child and I wish you all a CACTASTIC spring break!
Respectfully,
Leslie Thomas
Proud D-Back Principal
