Churchill Library News

December Edition

Our WC Library Serves Many Purposes

The library was host to STAAR testing for three days during the first week in December. We also hosted the district-wide Lead4ward training for two days for teachers from both NEISD and Judson ISD. We are so fortunate to have flexible furniture to accommodate a variety of activities in our space!

HOLIDAYS = TIME TO REST, REJUVINATE, & READ!

OverDrive is Accessible 24/7

Check out ebooks and audiobooks over the break from your device! Your login is your NEISD Google account credentials. You will need the OverDrive app on your device. Click here to find a book!

SENIOR ENGLISH RESEARCH

Elizabethan Times

Several of our Senior English classes visited the library to research various topics related to Elizabethan Literature, Drama, and London. Students located information in databases related to their topic, completed digital notes, and wrote an annotated bibliography. They will work in groups to complete a visual presentation that displays what they learned about their topic as related to what was happening in the play Hamlet.

Winston Writes Letters

Our very own Winston the Lion used the library classroom to answer letters sent to him from elementary students from our Churchill feeder schools. Some students wrote to, and received letters from the Elves at the North Pole, too.
