Aero-Space Engineering
What Aerospace Engineers do
Aerospace engineers work, as the title says, in air and space designs. This includes designing planes, rockets, missiles, and spaceships. They are employed by NASA, the federal government, Boeing, and other companies that are involved in flight and space.
Salary
Aerospace engineers make about $105,380 a year on average according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Designing
Aerospace engineers design aircraft, and jets. These designs can be revolutionary, and lead to many advances in travel, exploration, and warfare.
Testing
Aerospace engineers also test new methods of propulsion, that can be used from everyday planes to the rockets that may put us on Mars.
In Real Life
Aerospace engineers are responsible for what we see and use on a daily basis, from the Vega Rockets that take astronauts to the International Space station, to 747's.
