STUDENT ID BADGES ARE REQUIRED
- Safety - Most importantly - to identify students who should be in the building
- Entry into the building - it's a key card
- Entering the Library
- Printing at the various printers around the school
- Signing into Operation Restoration
- Coming to Counseling for an appointment
FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL INFORMATION
- Students can be dropped in the front of ORHS or the Wildcat Arena any time after 7:00 AM.
- Students can be dropped off in the Bus Loop AFTER 7:25 AM.
- Student badges are key cards and will open doors from 7:00 AM - 7:50.
- The tardy bell rings at 7:50 AM.
- Students can report to the Food Court when arriving for breakfast.
- Students can check the rosters in the Food Court, Bus Loop, Arena or by Amphitheater to find the first block class.
- Students WILL receive their laptops first block on Monday, July 25th.
- School dismissal is at 1:50 pm. (Wednesday schedule)

SCHEDULE CHANGE REQUEST FORM
Schedule change requests will only be accepted from Monday, July 25, 2022 at 7:50 a.m. until Friday, July 29 at 3:30 p.m - THIS IS A FIRM DEADLINE!
In the event of a scheduling error such as repeated course, a course for which prerequisites have not been met, or a missing graduation requirement, students will have an opportunity to request a schedule change during the first week of school.
Students will receive instructions on how to request a schedule change via their grade level Canvas pages. Schedule change requests sent via email will not be processed. Printed copies of the schedule change form will be available in the ORHS Counseling Office during the schedule change window. There will also be a schedule change window during the first week of second semester.

If you are interested in being a part of ORHS Masquers on stage or off stage, then come to our informational meeting on Thursday, July 28, from 3:15-3:45. We are starting right away this year with auditions for “The Curious Savage” on Monday, August 1st; Call Backs on August 2nd; and Rehearsals starting on August 3rd.
If you are interested in auditioning for our Fall Play – “The Curious Savage” then stay for our Audition Workshop on Thursday, July 28th after the Informational Meeting from 4-6! (If you have another afterschool commitment, come to the auditorium when you are finished, and we will get you caught up!) The Curious Savage will perform on September 15, 17 & 18
On Wednesday August 3rd from 2--2:45, our new Music Director, Ben Rorabaugh will meet with any actor, singer, dancer, or musician interested in participating in our Fall Showcase (November 12th).
Monday, August 8th will be our first day for improv! We will meet after school in the auditorium lobby!

NAACP HOSTS BACK TO SCHOOL FAIR FOR STUDENTS AND PARENTS

While families may not plan to take advantage of free school meals, many families will qualify for services far beyond meals such as reduced ACT and AP test costs. Back-to-school items like clothing, supplies and computers will be exempt from sales tax for 3 days, beginning Friday, July 29. Grocery items will also be exempt from sales tax during the entire month of August.

Tennessee's traditional sales tax holiday on clothing, school supplies and computers will begin at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, July 29, 2022, and will end at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, July 31, 2022. Items sold online are also eligible. Items must be purchase for personal use, not for business or trade, according to the Tennessee governor's website.

- Stores can enroll schools from VC Enroll for customers who do not have access to the internet. (Only HRCs and HCs have authorized access.)
- To do so they enter the customers ValuCard number, selected “Look UP” and select the school the customer has chosen in the School Bucks field.
Common Questions
- Why is my school not on my receipt? Schools are no longer listed on receipts but can be managed anytime from their online account.
- When does this begin/end? The program runs from September 2, 2021 thru May 10, 2022.
Deadline to register is December 31, 2021.
