Fourth Grade Shows
The 4th graders are debuting their brand new concert next month! Their show is called, "A Presentation of Our State and Nation!" It reflects all of the exciting things they are learning in social studies this year!
We will be having a dress rehearsal at the following dates/times. Each performance will be in the elementary gym from 2:35-3:05. All students (including 4th graders) will be dismissed back to their classrooms at 3:05. So there is no need to bring everyone with their end of the day belongings :) There will be time to head back to the classrooms before dismissal.
Due to the time restraints of the day, we will not be performing the entire show, just a few songs and scenes to show off the many talents of our students!
We hope to see you there! Thank you for your support!

Academic Learning Supports Team Process
2. If in fact you try the interventions and suggestions provided by the Teachers Helping Teachers team, and do not see an improvement in the child's performance, you may then complete the Academic Learning Supports Team form and submit required documentation to Michelle Dzik or Jane Wiorkowski. At that time, the ALS Team will review the documentation and determine IF a child is in need of an evaluation. The team may also determine that other inteventions should be attempted BEFORE possibly moving forward for an evaluation. Please know that the goal of the ALST team is not to solely evaluate students, but to support you and the student and exhaust all interventions and options before possibly moving to that step. Sometimes the outcome of collecting and submitting the data to the ALS Team will result in a child being evaluated, however.
If you have any questions please come see Michelle. :) Thanks!
School Mission and Vision
Some great items were brought to the table, and your BLT representative will be sharing these with you at your team meetings. Please continue to discuss the questions:
What kind of school do we hope to be? For students? For staff members? For the community?
How are we different from other schools? How should we "brand" our school?
What values do you think should be reflected in our vision and mission?
What do we need to do differently to uphold these values?
Another PBIS Bus Bash 2/23!
Sit down facing forward
Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself
Donna will pass out a monthly calendar for bus drivers to keep track when all the students on the bus are showing self-control. They will be able to earn a point in the am and in the pm. We will encourage the calendar be posted on the bus, along with the expectations. The winning bus will receive a bus bash and this date TBA. Please let me know if you guys have any questions, concerns or feedback from the first bus bash from a primary perspective. This time our plan is to ensure students are back in the classrooms by 8:50am. We are going to also encourage teachers to review bus expectations, prior to dismissal. Thanks!!
