Mark your calendars!
May 21 - Field Day
May 22 - Field Day RAIN DAY
May 24 - LAST DAY of School!!
Field Day is May 21st!
It is one of the students' favorite days of the year and you can be part of it. Field Day is a fun finale to the school year and we need volunteers. There is a morning session (2nd and 4th graders) and an afternoon session (1st and 3rd graders). We need 20 volunteers for each ~1.5 hr session. Mr. Chaney and other teachers have everything planned. As a volunteer, you will work one of the stations and help the kids with that given event. Easy and fun! http://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090b44abaa2ca1f58-maple

Did you know that Maple Dale & WHA have been sister schools for 10+ years?
A few facts about Winton Hills Academy:
Current enrollment is 400 students, preschool – 6th grade
99.2% of their students qualify for free/reduced lunch
The school does not have any support from a PTO of their own
4th-6th grades received an “A” rating in math and reading in 2014/2015.
Their building was built in 2005. It is beautiful, clean and bright, with fun paintings on the walls, smiles on children’s faces, and passionate teachers.
“We are giving the children the experience of a middle class school education in a lower class world. Then they can choose what they want for their lives.” Dr. Tina Russo, Principal 1998 -2015

Lost and Found
Parents,
We have a good amount of items in our lost and found. You may want to have a look through the items before the end of the school year, at which time, if things are still left in the lost and found, they will be donated to Matthew 25.
Thank you! Have a wonderful summer!
Maple Dale After School Enrichment Needs You!
Maple Dale ASE is looking for new chair members for the 2018 – 2019 program and beyond. We have several parents who are entering their last year at Maple Dale. We need new members to start so they take over ASE after the 2018 – 2019 school year.
2018 – 2019 ASE will take place for 6 Mondays starting January 28th, 2019
Below are the roles and what they entail:
ASE - Chair
- Coordinate ASE class offerings
- Create flyers with class descriptions and pricing
- Coordinate with Sycamore Nutrition to plan for snacks
- Work with Maple Dale Office Staff to get rooms approved for upcoming classes
- Coordinate the ASE team before and during registration to make sure everything is going smoothly
- Work with the PTO Treasurer to coordinate payments through the Transaction Center
- Attend all ASE sessions to help manage snack time, make sure there are no issues with classes, and ensure that all children are picked up
The commitment is from October through March, and most of the work can be done remotely, with the exception of the 6 Mondays during ASE.
ASE - Snack Time and Classroom Volunteers
- Set up the SignUpGenius for volunteers for snack time help and classroom volunteers
The commitment is from January through March. Most of the work can be done remotely, but it is ideal if this volunteer could attend all ASE sessions to help with snack time.
ASE - Online Portal Management – Role Filled
ASE – Scholarships – Role Filled
The ideal volunteer will be someone who can commit to the program for a minimum of 2 years.
If you have interest in getting more involved and would like to hear more about each role please feel free to contact Belinda Busemeyer via email (belindabusemeyer@gmail.com) or by phone 513-373-2240.
Thank you for your consideration.
