April 10
First Grade Music Program
Freedom Elementary’s 1st Grade Music Program will be held from 8:10-8:40 a.m. on Friday, April 21 in the school gymnasium. At the conclusion of the program, audience members may greet, congratulate, and take pictures with the performers for a moment before they return to their regular schedule.
The program is titled, “Hats!” Each student should bring a hat to wear for their costume. The clothing can be regular school attire. Some characters in the program need to wear a specific type of hat that will be provided by Mrs. Braunagel and Miss Solberg (if you would like to provide the hat for your child’s role instead, please let us know!). If your child has an extra hat (baseball caps are ideal) they would be willing to loan to a friend in their class who might not have one, that would be greatly appreciated! Students will need their hats at school for practices on April 19 and 20, in addition to the program on April 21.
Some students have been assigned speaking and/or solo roles for the program. Scripts were sent home with these students on Friday, March 31. We will practice their parts during music class, but it would also be very helpful if you help your child work on memorizing their lines at home.
We look forward to seeing you cheer on your child!
