What is Copyright?
Copyright protects the works of authors, artists, and others from their works being used without permission. Copyright protects works for 70 years after the creators death.
What is Copyright Infringement?
Copyright infringement is using works protected by copyright law without getting permission from the creator.
What is Plagiarism?
Plagiarism is breaking the copyright laws. If you plagiarize, you can get sent to jail and fined. Plagiarism is not the same as copyright infringement.
What is Public Domain?
Public domain is works that are not copyrighted and may be used without permission. You should still give credit, even though it is not required.
What is Fair Use?
Fair use allows you to use a limited amount of stuff for educational purposes. It has to be nonprofit as well.
