Christopher Columbus

Vasco da Gama

Magellan
Magellan studied astronomy and navigation highly valued for flavoring and preserving food as well as masking the taste of meat gone bad, spices like cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and especially black pepper, were extremely valuable.
