Motor City Mitten Mission Collecting Take-Out Containers
Motor City Mitten Mission is a non profit organization right here in Grosse Pointe Park that provides assistance to the homeless community in Detroit and Windsor. It’s cofounders are Grosse Pointe residents! They provide mats and pillows that are crocheted from plastic bags. They also provide outreach meals 4x a week directly to the homeless that cannot make it into a shelter for whatever reason. They require many carry out containers and they’re asking for our help! Do have that drawer of containers from last night’s carry out?! If so, Trombly Terriers will be collecting them for Motor City Mitten Mission! Please wash and send them with your child to school. There will be a drop off box in the office. We will be collecting them all year! Thank you for recycling and giving back to the community through MCMM.
