Principal's Ponderings
E-Educate daily. Thank you for the time that you spend reading books together with your child, helping him or her with the memorizing of math facts, studying spelling words, and asking about writing projects. Just as athletes must practice daily to hone their skills, good readers and writers need practice! Our students progress much more quickly as a reader when practicing daily, and grasp math concepts faster if they have mastered basic facts by the fourth grade . Your involvement in your child’s education is so important. Educate them on the academics, as well as how to get along with others, how to apologize, how to do a job well the first time, how to talk problems out, etc. Look for opportunities daily to teach those life lessons! It is time well spent and much appreciated!
F-Fundraising. Hats off to the Home & School Association for all that they do for us. The food during conferences was great and we had another very successful Fundraiser Sales Campaign that earned almost $25,000. Home & School is saving up to purchase new playground equipment, since our equipment is aging and past its life expectancy. The recent McTeacher night raised over $923 as well. Thank you all for your support of our school!
As always, please feel free to visit us here at school anytime. We appreciate the opportunity to work with you and with your child.
Have a great Holiday Season!!
