How Are We Doing?
We took our EOY IMSSA Benchmark in grades 3-8 at the beginning of the school year. The test includes standards that students will learn during the current school year, so it is often a difficult test for students. If we keep working hard, we can reasonably expect that our scores will look about like this when we take our state assessment. We also have to PUSH math scores.
However, when we compare these predicted scores with the last state assessment scores (in 2018-19), our district-wide scores were 39% in reading and 21% in math.
I know at times it is frustrating because it feels like the students are behind, but keep pushing, make sure you are keeping up with the scope and sequence and use the check point data to reteach and reassess.
We will take the MOY IMSSA before we leave for Christmas; I can't wait to see the results!
Veterans Day November 11, 2021
This year for Veterans Day, November 11, we will learn virtually.
· Students will be expected to CHECK IN between 12:00 am and 11:59 pm on November 11, 2021, in order to be counted present. Students can check in on any device via Google Form. THE GOOGLE FORM LINK IS BELOW. Parents can call in to the school and leave a message or even sign, date, and send a piece of paper stating the students were present to the school.
· Teachers will put material in Google Classroom for November 11, 2021, in advance of the day, have students complete an extended assignment over several days, or have students attend a virtual field trip.
·Students should be given minimum amounts of work and no grades will be taken on November 11.
