Natalie Riley, Assistant Principal, Davis HS
Welcome Natalie Riley, Assistant Principal, Davis High School
The Yakima School District is proud to welcome Natalie Riley as Assistant Principal at Davis High School.
Natalie Riley is coming to us from the Renton School District in western Washington. She has served as a middle school Assistant Principal for the last four years at one of the most diverse schools in the state. She was Dean of Students at the same school two years prior. Additionally, she has served in a leadership role at the high school level for Albuquerque Public Schools in New Mexico. She taught Health & PE for several years at the high school level before advancing to leadership.
Natalie earned a bachelor’s degree in PE/Health from Central Washington University and her Master’s in Educational Leadership from the University of New Mexico.
During her time in Renton, she had the opportunity to work with the special education department and is responsible for supporting and implementing inclusionary practices in all contents and across all grade levels. She has led the charge for discipline reform that incorporates restorative practices and student advocates for positive behavior changes and accountability. She believes that students’ voice is a priority in creating positive changes within schools.
She is excited to join and serve the YSD and the entire Yakima community. She looks forward to building strong positive relationships with staff, students, families, and community members.
Natalie and her husband were both raised in the Yakima Valley and are looking forward to returning along with their two energetic kids, a 7-year-old daughter, and a 2-year-old son. While not working, they enjoy being outside at the park, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and going to Seahawks games.
