The Eagle's Beak
"Auburn Pride Starts Inside"
October 16, 2020
Dear Auburn Families,
I had the pleasure today of delivering Happy Meals to our top Read-a-thon students. Another great big thanks to Brielle and Joshua!!
I had so much fun delivering lunch that I'd like to deliver masks to houses next week! If you call the office and place an order to purchase a Buddy or Auburn mask, I will bring them to you!
We have eight job opportunities at Auburn this year! Please see the flyers below and contact me directly if you would like to become a part of our amazing Auburn team. To make sure that we are keeping everyone safe upon our return to face to face, we are adding lunch/recess aides, a safety support specialist and a health room assistant. There are part time and full time options. Please spread the word in your community. Auburn is a fantastic place to work!
Have a wonderful weekend,
We have some Auburn Elementary (and Buddy!) masks you can purchase for $10 and wear all year long to show your Auburn pride. If you have one already, take a picture of you wearing it!
If you make a phone purchase, we will even deliver the masks to you! We have both kid and adult sizes available.
All the proceeds go to making Buddy a permanent part of the family 🐶💜💛
Emmy’s Pampered Pooch has generously offered to sponsor ALL of Buddy’s grooming needs! We are so grateful for a community who supports us.
If you are looking for a groomer for your pet, please give Emmy's Pampered Pooch a call. They are located at 3273 Auburn Road, Auburn Hills, 248-417-8162.

Building Healthy Communities - Enjoying the Family Meal
Family meals are important because they help create lifelong memories and allow you to stay connected to your child(ren). Family meals are a great time to teach your child about healthy
eating habits and show them what a healthy meal looks like. It is important to never force or pressure children to eat a particular food. It can result in a lifelong hatred for that food, and turns the kitchen table into a battleground. It usually takes several exposures to a new food before a child is willing to try it. Invite, encourage and be a good role model. Here are some ways to make family meals a part of your family routine:
Set a regular family meal time (try not to schedule any extra activities during that time).
Eat at the table. Show that family meals are important--turn off the TV and other electronics during mealtime.
Posiivity Project (P2) - Forgiveness
WHAT DOES FORGIVENESS MEAN?
You forgive those who have done wrong.
You accept that people make mistakes.
Forgiveness is the ability to move past being injured, and allow yourself to reconcile with the person who hurt you. Forgiveness can often be seen as a selfless act, but it also carries many benefits for those who practice it. Those who demonstrate forgiveness have the ability to move forward after someone has hurt them. Forgiveness is often rooted in the idea that all people are valuable and worthy of a second chance. Many who forgive have the ability to consider things from another’s perspective.
