About the battle.
It happened on September 28, 1874 it was the most decisive battle of the Red River campaign. It was the favorite spot for campground of many Plains group. Under Colonel Randel S. Meckenzie he made his men set fire to Comanche, Kiowa, and Cheyenne villages. During all of that his men have captured many supplies and 1,424 horses and mules. He had killed 1,000 horses so the native americans wont run away on them.
Who was in the battle.
Colonel Randel S. Meckenzie was the U.S. Commander. The Comanche, Kiowa, and Cheyenne were the Indian tribes that Meckenzie had fought and took all their goods and horses and mules. Quanah Parker was the famous cheif because he always help them in a time of help.
