TTESS
This week during SWAT you will need to create your SLO goal. Soon after we will begin our scheduling process for TTESS appraisals. Soon after, Mr. Olivas and I will begin to schedule our initial pre-conferences with you.
Classroom Printers
Supplies/Resources:
If there are resources/items that you are needing, please let your grade level leader know so they can share with me as GLL meeting. If you need something prior to GLL meeting, please get with Gina, Olivas, Mima or I and let us know. Every Monday at A team meeting, we review our campus budget and try to find a way to order what we need. Our job is to respond to your needs in a timely manner, we will always try to find a way to get what you need to make your instruction successful.
Attendance
Attendance Time: A friendly reminder to please take attendance on time. I know it’s a hassle to do it a specific time, but its required. Make sure that you are remembering to take attendance at 9:30 every day. Set an alarm if you need a reminder. See district guidelines:
Official Attendance-Taking Time (All Grade Levels) The district must submit attendance of its students to the TEA reflecting attendance at a specific time each day. Official attendance is taken every day at 9:30 a.m., which is during the second or fifth instructional hour as required by state rule.
Recess
Please DO NOT take away recess time from the students. If you are having difficulty with a student, please keep open lines of communication and contact parents to make them aware of what you are noticing the student is struggling with. While at recess, pelase make sure you are actively monitoring the students, we have had several accidents happen during this time.
Per district guideline FFA (Regulation), recess may not be taken away as a form of a consequence: “The denial of recess, or physical activity breaks, should not be used punitively as a result of poor choices, including incomplete assignments and other academic-related items.

- Shout out to our Intervention team, Ms. Garvey, Ms. Zeidler, and Ms. Brightly for coming together to meet the needs of one student, looking at it from the lens of our students, not mine and yours.
- Shout out to our SpEd. team for doing whatever it takes to meet the needs of all students- even while short-staffed!
- Shout out to Ms. Lowther & Ms. Kelley for looking out for the safety of our students. They have gone above and beyond in looking for resources and quotes to get a better quality mulch on our playgrounds.
