I hope you are having a wonderful summer break and remembering to read, practice your math facts, conduct science experiments, and simply enjoy your time off. I can't wait to see each of you back for the new school year.
Returning Student Registration
Returning student registration can be completed online. (NOTE: Returning Student Registration is not available on the Mobile App.) Be sure to select the “returning student registration” button once you are logged into Family Access. If your student was enrolled at any MISD school at the end of last year, you will log into your Skyward Family Access Account and click on “Returning Student Registration” to get started.
All students who attended MISD in the 16-17 school year are highly encouraged to complete online returning student registration and provide proof of residency prior to schedule pickup.
Many of the forms you are required to complete and sign are now electronic and can be submitted online. However, the following documents must still be submitted in paper form:
- Proof of Residency in the form of a current (within last 30 days) electric, gas, water bill or lease agreement. (No other documents will be accepted). – Required annually for all students.
- Parental Authorization for Third Party Access to Student Records (optional)
- Student’s Shot Record (required for students entering Pre-K/Kindergarten and 7th grade)

New Student Registration
New student registration can be completed online or in person at the student’s campus. To enroll your child, you will need the following documents:
- Parent/Legal Guardian’s Government Issued Photo Identification
- Proof of Residency in the form of a current (within last 30 days) electric, gas, water bill or lease agreement. (No other documents will be accepted).
- Student’s Social Security Card
- Student’s Shot Record (required for students entering Pre-K/Kindergarten and 7th grade) Shot record must show child's name.

- If applicable, Withdrawal Papers and Records from last school attended.
If you need assistance in determining which campus your child is zoned to attend, you may call the Department of Transportation (817) 299-6060 or use the Web Query System to find your school.

Pre-Kindergarten (PK) Time Change
The Pre-K morning session will end 45 minutes earlier, and the afternoon session will start 45 minutes later. The new schedule is as follows:
- Pre-K morning session | 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. (breakfast included)
- Pre-K afternoon session | 12:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. (lunch included)page.cfm
Nancy Neal only has AM (morning) Pre-K.
Get ready for Mansfield ISD’s second annual Back-to-School Bash! It will be held on Saturday, Aug. 12 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the MISD Center for the Performing Arts.
The event is meant to bring the community together for a day of FREE family fun to kick off the school year. Food trucks will also be available on site.
Key Components of the Event
Stuff the Bus Campaign - Stuff the Bus is an initiative to give away 6,000 backpacks filled with school supplies to MISD students. Backpacks will be given on a first come, first serve basis, and no registration is required. (Limit: four per family.) You can make a monetary donation to the campaign here. Opens a New Window.
Free Services - Free services will be provided to students including, but not limited to: immunizations, sports physicals, eye exams and glasses, haircuts and dental sealants. Please bring your child’s shot records to take part in the free immunizations. (Shots are for uninsured patients only.)
Vendor Booths - Community groups and businesses will have the opportunity to provide relevant services and information to attendees. If you are interested in having a vendor booth, fill out and return this booth request form Opens a New Window. .
Campus Activities - Each MISD campus will be in attendance with a fun activity to interact with families. In addition, dozens of student performances will be held in the Performing Arts Center. Nancy Neal will be partnered with our feeder schools so look for the Legacy High School Feeder schools at the event.
