Stop Animal Testing!
By Lexi Panza
Animals have lives too
Over 100 million animals are killed every year for medical training, curiousity-driven experiments, and food and cosmetic testing. It is not morally correct to take an animals life for these selfish purposes. "The world doesnt need another eyeliner, hand soap, food ingredient, drug for erectile dysfunction, or pesticide so badly that it should come at the expense of animals lives"- Peta.com
Why this needs to STOP
"When used in cosmetic tests, mice, rats, rabbits, and guinea pigs are often subjected to skin and eye irritation tests where chemicals are rubbed on shaved skin or dripped into eyes without any pain relief"- DoSomething.org. Its also bad science. According to the Food and Drug Administration, 92 out of 100 drugs that pass animal tests, fail on humans. "According to the Humane Society, registration of a single pesticide requires more than 50 experiments and the use of as many as 12,000 animals"- DoSomething.org
Join us!
