Attention Parents!

We have received complaints from the Vons shopping center (Starbucks, Vons, Taco Bell, etc) about poor student behavior after school. Please remind your students to be respectful towards workers and customers while at the center.

Please do not park or walk through the Woodlands complex across from Los Cerritos. This is PRIVATE PROPERTY so please be respectful.

PSAT 8/9 Registration/Information

Los Cerritos Middle School will once again offer the PSAT 8/9 to all interested 8th grade students on Saturday, December 11.

This is the first opportunity for a student to experience the College Board's "Suite of Assessments" in preparation for the SAT. The PSAT 8/9 can be used to establish a baseline in terms of college and career readiness as a student transitions to high school as well as provide valuable data in a comprehensive score report (see attached sample) that will outline your student's strengths and areas for improvement. This data will not be shared with Universities or Colleges.

Registration officially begins on Thursday, October 21 through Thursday, November 4th. Please complete the half sheet on the bottom of the flier and attach $25.00 (Cash/Check) and drop it off in our Front Office. The money collected helps pay for the cost of the exam ($14) and our proctors.

The PSAT 8/9 will be administered on Saturday, December 11th from 8:30 to 12:30 pm at LCMS using our LCMS classrooms. The test lasts approximately 2.25 hours, but with breaks and administration, it usually takes 3 hours from start to finish.

Since this is a new opportunity, I encourage you to research the PSAT 8/9 on the College Board website at
