Thank you for keeping our STUDENTS SAFE!
Absence Reporting
When students are Absent, Late or Leave Early you will received an Automated Message as a reminder to contact the school even if you have called in or sent an email.
Following an absence, students are required to send an email to torelattendance@tusd.org, bring a note or make a phone call from parents the day he/she returns to school. The email, note or phone call must list the date of the absence, specific reason for the absence, and must be sent by or signed by parent or guardian.
Physical and Oral Check Ups for Kindergarten and 1st Grade Students
California law requires that your child have a dental check-up. A California licensed dental professional must perform the check-up and complete an Oral Health Assessment form provided below.
Also, California law requires that all children entering first grade have a health-screening checkup within the previous eighteen months. The screening is intended to detect problems and arrange for early care, if needed. It is estimated that about ten percent of all children entering first grade have some potentially disabling condition unknown to their parents.
As the holiday weeks approach, please consider scheduling appointments!
Attached is the Oral Health Assessment form and the Report of Health Examination For School Entry form both in English and in Spanish.
Please arrange an appointment with your student's dentist and doctor or contact the Health Office for information on free and reduced health and dental services.
Please return the Oral Health Assessment form before May 31, 2024 and the Report of Health Examination For School Entry before June 30, 2024. If you have already done so please disregard this letter. Thank you.
