Elmore County Public Schools with an enrollment of approximately 11,200 students operates 17 schools which includes the Elmore County Technical Center. All of our schools are accredited by the Alabama State Department of Education and Cognia. In addition, Elmore County also contains four private schools.

The Elmore County Technical Center (ECTC) offers Career and Technical Educational (CTE) programs on the ECTC campus in Wetumpka for students from all four physical campus high schools - Elmore County, Holtville, Stanhope Elmore, and Wetumpka High - as well as The EDGE Virtual School. Students can gain nationally recognized certifications and industry credentials that offer them internships and employment opportunities during and after high school. In addition to the high school CTE courses, ECTC offers a variety of technical and academic dual enrollment courses through Central Alabama Community College where students earn college credits toward their career aspiration
