Athletics/Activities threatened by labor shortage.
The first shortage impacting athletics and activities is a shortage of bus drivers. Without drivers, kids can't make it to contests or performances. The HIllsboro School District is still short over 40 bus drivers. HSD Transportation is currently hiring. Please share the application link with any interested parties.
The second shortage is with game officials. Without officials, games aren't official! If you know someone who is passionate about a sport, encourage them to seek out the local Officials organizations.
Finally, youth could benefit from the interest of more coaches. Sometimes, we are not able to fill all positions due to a lack of candidates. If you are passionate about being a positive mentor for youth and have a background in athletics/activities, please consider applying. Coaching/Advising positions are posted on the HSD Job Listings page.
