ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR THE DAYS OF MAY 28-June 1, 2018
FIELD DAY: Field Day for Tracks 1 and 3 is Friday! Please make sure to talk to your classroom parents to solicit volunteers, for Freeze Bars and Bubble Wands. Sign up link is posted in the Sunday Message.
Schedule for the event:
- Kindergarten-2nd is in the Morning from 9:30-11:30 and 3rd-5th is 12:30-2:30 is in the Afternoon. Field day takes the place of recess for tracks 1 and 3 and specials for Tracks 1, 3, and 4. Track 4 students can have recess IF not using the 2/3 or 4/5 playgrounds. Mrs. Stunda and Ms. Daniel can use the usual playground, and Mrs. Straub and Mrs. VanAntwerp, Mrs. Gainey and Mrs. Clark, Mrs. Coleman, and Mr. Schoenebeck can use the front bus loop OR have recess in the classroom at the usual recess time.
MR. WARD OUT: Mr. Ward will continue to be out until at least Tuesday, June 5. Henry has been consulting with his doctor and was in the ER one weekend before to prevent a potentially serious health situation. Mrs. Person, Mrs. Fricke and Mr. Biles have been in close communication with Mr. Ward to monitor how he is doing. He came in on Thursday and looked much better but his doctor feels that it is best for him to continue on the current medical prescription and rest until a possible return on June 5th, Cards and well wishes for Henry are very much appreciated. LEAVE FORM DEADLINES: All leave must be keyed by June 5th therefore, all leave forms MUST be submitted by MONDAY, JUNE 4TH for June 5th - June 30th 2018. This means if you plan to be out during this time you must submit your leave form in advance. If you have a unexpected during this period the leave will be deducted from your leave balance for the 2018-19 school year. If you have any questions please see Kaye.
SCHOOL AUDIT: Mrs. Person, Mr. Biles and Mrs. Fricke met with auditors to review the audit report following last week's audit. Mrs. Person will use the suggestions from the auditors when sharing her start of the year information at our staff meeting.
LOOKING AHEAD TO WEEK OF JULY 4TH, 2018-19 SCHOOL YEAR: Reminder of the following- Monday, July 2, optional teacher workday, Tuesday July 3, REQUIRED teacher workday, Wednesday, July 4th HOLIDAY, Thursday, July 5th is a REQUIRED teacher workday, and Friday, July 6th is a REQUIRED teacher workday. Teacher assistants are requested to be at the meeting on Friday, July 6th. We will have our faculty picture that day, handbook requirements etc... and other important information. IF you are not going to be here, you MUST inform the Principal in person.

DUTIES FOR THE DAYS OF MAY 29TH-June 1, 2018 Track 2 OUT
AM Hallway: Shipley (Help greet parents/students, check with Ms. Person to see what is needed at the visitor sign-in tables/help with Breakfast traffic)
AM Carpool: Fitzgerald (Help Safety Patrol, call for more help if needed, monitor carpool lane)
AM Breakfast: McEwen (Work with students regarding lunch numbers, encourage students to eat and get directly to class.)
AM Bus: Renfrow (See office if you are unable to help as this is an extra duty. Write down arrival times of buses. Work with Fricke to disembark students, trouble-shoot issues.)
Lunch Duty: Fitzgerald, Lavin, Johnson, Newman, Renfrow, McEwen, Brown, Bednar
(Start the track in period with consistent behavior expectations. STUDENTS CAN BRING A BOOK TO READ, BUT NOT OTHER OBJECTS (RUBIC'S CUBE, ETC...)
Work with one another to use the "warning" behavior system, train students to pick up trash/sweep, and inform teachers of issues. Do not allow students to flip bottles/get up without permission. Do not hesitate to move a student to a separate seat or to inform the office of repeated issues. Update the seating charts in the notebook as needed. The office will contact you (support staff) if necessary for coverage. THANK YOU FOR DOING LUNCH DUTY.
PM Hallway: Andrews (Check all students for tags in the bus line. If a student does not have a tag, inform Fricke and Ms. Britt ASAP. )
PM Carpool: Johnson/Newman (outside), Perry/Cooper, Blocker/Shipley (inside), Hopper (call car numbers.)(Specialists fill in- contact office is there is a change and to let us know who is covering) (Call carpool numbers. If a parent doesn't have a carpool tag, PLEASE INFORM THE PARENT that they should get one from the office.
PM Bus: Boose (Call one bus at a time. Write down arrival times. CHECK FOR BUS TAGS ON EACH CHILD'S BOOK BAG. Work with Britt and Barber to trouble-shoot, solve issues. IF YOU HAVE CONFERENCES ETC... LET THE OFFICE KNOW ON MONDAY MORNING.)
